Ischia Thermal Parks: Poseidon, Negombo or Castiglione?
Updated October 25, 2026 · 4 min read
Poseidon is the clearest choice for a first full thermal day; Negombo suits visitors who value landscaping, while Castiglione is the alternative on the Ischia Porto side. These are separate parks, not interchangeable entrances, so location matters almost as much as the pools.
Poseidon
The official Giardini Poseidon ticket costs €52 and has 873 reviews. The listing describes more than 15 thermal pools, a heated Olympic seawater pool, a natural sauna and a private beach. That range makes it the easiest all-day option, especially when you stay near Forio. The drawback is scale: it is a destination in itself rather than a quick spa stop.
Negombo
Negombo sits at San Montano and is known for integrating bathing areas into a large garden. Choose it when the setting and a slower walk between pools matter as much as ticking off facilities. Its current admission and opening details should be checked directly before visiting; no listing we link states them.
Castiglione
Castiglione lies between Casamicciola and Ischia Porto on a steep coastal site. It makes practical sense from the eastern side of the island. Hillside levels are part of the character, but they also mean that anyone with limited mobility should ask the park which routes and lifts will be available on the day.
The useful decision
- Full first visit: Poseidon.
- Garden atmosphere: Negombo.
- Staying near Ischia Porto or Casamicciola: Castiglione.
Do not book only by pool count. Compare the journey from your accommodation, beach access, the day’s opening information and any health guidance published by the park. See all Ischia thermal-park options.
